AB 44 passes in the CA state Assembly!

We would like to express gratitude to all the volunteers that worked tirelessly over the years to make this happen. California has become the first state to strongly consider the ban of the sale of fur. With decades of effort, activists have done investigations, protested and have lobbied to make this happen. This is the first major hurdle and we will be lobbying the next portion of the CA State Legislature, the Senate, after the legislative break. Thank you for the calls made to all the assemblymembers!

Compassionate Bay is supporting Assembly Bill 44

Compassionate Bay is going full force in lobbying for Assembly Bill 44 (AB 44). AB44 will ban the sale of fur in the state of California. The impact of this bill will be instrumental in setting the legislative stage for the personhood of non human animals to be recognized as a legitimate case. We are undertaking grassroots efforts and state level lobbying to ensure this bill passes in the Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee, Judiciary Committee and finally the California Assembly. Support AB44 by calling your district assembly member to vote yes!
