Curtis Vollmar

Curtis is CB’s legislative point and was instrumental in getting our first sponsored bill authored in the California State Assembly. He got involved in animal rights advocacy in 2017 and quickly realized he wanted to make it his life’s work. Curtis volunteers with several nonprofit organizations in the Bay Area. He ran track and cross country at the collegiate level and continues to train and be involved with the local running community.

Ali Morikawa

Alison is CB’s research assistant that has had an interest in social justice, environmental, and animal rights advocacy since she was young, which led her to pursue an educational background in sociology. She is currently a graduate student at the University of Victoria, conducting a sociology MA thesis that examines the firsthand accounts of farmers who have transitioned away from animal agriculture. Alison began animal rights advocacy work in 2019, as a research and policy fellow advocating for plant-based agriculture policies and as an animal rights outreach organizer.
